Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Hollow is quiet and strange in the best way. You wander a small village solving environmental puzzles, and the whole thing is lit by lanterns you have to keep fed. The art is hand-drawn and the soundtrack is mostly ambient hum and distant bells.
Puzzles lean on observation rather than obtuse inventory logic. We only got stuck once, and even then the answer was sitting in a room we'd rushed through. There's no fail state — you just explore until things fit together.
It's short, maybe four hours, but it's the kind of short that stays with you. A great pick for a slow evening.
