Five Tower Defence Habits Worth Breaking
Most people lose tower defence runs not to a hard wave but to a habit they picked up in the tutorial. I've been guilty of all of these, so no judgement.
The first is spending everything the moment you have it. Holding a little cash lets you react to a wave instead of praying your setup covers it. Reaction beats prediction more often than you'd think.
The second is upgrading one tower to the sky while the rest stay at level one. Spread matters. A single overpowered tower can't cover a map, and enemies love the gaps.
The third and most underrated: ignoring the corners of the path. Slowing towers near sharp bends squeeze extra damage out of everything downstream. Learn where enemies bunch up and build around it.
Fix these and even mediocre tower defence games open up. The genre rewards patience far more than reflexes.
